Colour Coordination

Category :

When used properly your colour choice will speak volumes about your personality. Neutral colours give of an air of sophistication, and bold colours will give others the impression of dynamism. Your choice of colours will affect the mood of your ensemble, and that is why it is essential to experiment with colours that work well together.

In order to be able to ensure colour harmony one must first understand the colour spectrum. The primary colours are red, blue and yellow, and the secondary colours consist of orange, green and purple. The various shades of the primary and secondary colours in addition to black and white form the colour spectrum. To create a pop or flare one must select colours on opposite ends of the colour wheel that go well together such as red and blue. Colours that lay adjacent on the colour wheel will complement each other such as blue and green.
